There is no direct source or need for selenium in human diet. So in that case selenium cannot get directly into human body in inorganic form. Rather it gets into human body by taking an organic form through the process of consumption of food of plants and different kinds of micro organisms. Selenium toxicity cause by excessive selenium can cause selenosis. Symptoms of selenosis are hair loss, nail loss, and raised selenium level in blood, diarrhea, weakness, garlic odor from breathe, peripheral neuropathy (neural disease) and various other diseases.
Methyl Mercury In Fish:
Methyl mercury is found in various sea foods mostly in fishes, which is very harmful for human body. Sea side village or area people normally depend on the sea food and do get highly vulnerable to this methyl mercury contamination. The symptoms and diseases are :
1.Eye sight loss
5.Lung function impairment
6.Small head (microcephaly).
Food Pollution Control And Safety Process:
Naturally occuring food pollutions as discussed above, has no solution to it apparently as it’s a natural process. Other than that the spread of pollutants and contaminants can be taken under control and food factories or producers should specially ponder over the contaminants and food composites and their origin. So that, it can be traced that- whether it has any environmental pollutants toxicity within it. Thus can be taken under control.
